Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds. Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events. Negotiate space, dates and rates to obtain booking goal while focusing on shoulder and off season business. Identify need periods and undertake comprehensive program of sales activity to secure new and adhoc business minimizing the impact of low activity periods. Assist in development and solicitation of Banquet and event package plans and aimed at conference business and encourage repeat business. Attend trade and travel shows of various market area for promoting hotels event business. Actively manage business bookings, record denials, make network referrals. Make commercial decisions to maximize MICE income on a daily basis.
Checking guests in and out. Receiving and managing reservations made online and telephonically. Verifying guests' payment methods during check-in. Assigning rooms to guests and informing them of any specials offered by the hotel. Organizing transport services for guests at their request. Providing guests with information about the hotel. Keeping abreast of attractions that may be of interest to guests. Serving as a host at conferences, and ensuring that all relevant preparations are made for the event.
Setting up tables, including linens, China, silverware and glassware. Handing reservations. Receiving passengers and escorting them to their tables. Checking passengers identification, and verifying their age before serving alcoholic beverages. Presenting menus and dishes to passengers, answering questions about any aspect related to them, making recommendations on items and daily specials. Explaining methods of preparation and cooking, ingredients and accompaniments. General preparation of appetizers, salads, cold dishes, desserts and bevereges. Taking passengers orders to the galley staff. Monitoring passengers experience and ensuring their satisfaction with food and service, taking the necessary action to correct any problem. Cleaning and removing dishes, glassware and silver from tables after service is completed. Replenishing supplies and service equipment. Garnishing and decorating dishes and tables for service. Answering any questions related to the service and providing general information on it or activities and events onboard the cruise ship. Offering and providing any assistance to the passengers before leaving tables.
